Where is Davao Located
Davao City is geographically located in the province of Davao del Sur. It is bounded on the north by the Municipality of Kapalong and on the Northeast by the City of Panabo ( both are in Davao del Norte). On the south is the Municipality of Sta. Cruz , Davao del Sur; on the east by the Gulf of Davao; on the west by Mt. Apo and North Cotabato, and on the northwest by the Province of Bukidnon.
Davao City is the capital of Davao Region (Region XI) and strategically located in the Southeastern part of Mindanao. Davao location is very strategic making it the center of trade not only to Southeastern Mindanao but also in the East Asian Growth Area (EAGA).
The city of Davao encompasses over 244,000 hectares of land making it the largest city in the world in terms of land area. However, a large portion of it is still thickly forested and some are mountainous. Because of its location, you can expect Weather in Davao City to be mild and agreeable.
Davao City is politically subdivided into 3 Congressional districts and further subdivided into 11 administrative districts to facilitate development efforts. There are 180 barangays in the City of Davao.
