Lunch at Gusteau’s Fud Haus
There are so many restaurants in Davao City. When choosing a restaurant to dine in, you usually go to the more familiar ones or those restaurants you frequently go to because you are already familiar of the foods you like and so with the price ranges of the foodies. You don’t have to spend time looking at the menu and wonder if the taste of the foods appeal to your taste buds.
Last Araw ng Davao celebration, my family got out and joined the fun of the festivities. When lunchtime came, we decided to go to The Peak of Gaisano Mall and dined at Gausteu’s Fud Haus.
When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by a warm smile of a tall Chinese looking man who is maybe in his 50′s. We surmised he is the owner of the restaurant because he instructs and directs the waiters. He together with the waiter ushered us to a vacant table near the entrance. There were already a number of diners when we got inside.
The menu consists of only few foods but they are deliciously well chosen. Their specialty is the Grancho Reale, an ocean king crab served in a bed of garlic and herb crust sauce. Another one is spicy prawns – sweet chilli prawn stuffed with spicy herb dressing. oh so yummy, is it not?
But our little girl has an allergy to both so we settled for the other foods in the menu. Other choices are:
Dory fillet
Garlic tuna belly
Doki’s chicken wings
White squid adobo
Bamboo shoot with cabbage
Kinilaw
They also have soup like:
Embao shell soup
Sinigang na Pasayan
Crab soup
The foods we ordered are lechon kawali, kinilaw which is hubby’s favorite and garlic tuna belly. The generous servings of the food we ordered made us really full. The taste is also good. It was indeed a very nice dining experience.
